Ann C. Caringer


Ann Caringer, of Issaquah, passed away in Bellevue on January, 16th, 2008. She was 63 years old.Ann was born on February 22, 1944 in Bronx, New York, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Hayes. She was raised in the Bronx and moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1975. She worked for many years as a legal secretary. Ann moved to the Woodinville, WA area in 1984, where she settled in Issaquah in 1998 and worked as a demonstrator at Costco for nearly 11 years.

Ann is remembered by her family and long-time friends as a woman who loved to give back to her community, volunteering for many years at the local food bank, and touching many lives through her kindness and generosity. Ann enjoyed spending her time at the local library and collecting treasures at thrift shops, always seeing the beauty and value in things othersleft behind. Ann had a great love of animals, and took great delight in talking and socializing with new acquaintances and friends.


Ann is survived by her long-time companion Alan Risdon of Issaquah, her son Kevin Caringer of Arapahoe County, Colorado; three daughters Kimberly and Katy Caringer of Tucson, AZ, and Kristin Caringer of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Alyssa andAshton Caringer; brother Eugene Hayes of Averill Park, NY; and sisters Kathy Swider and Margaret Hayes of Florida.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26th, 2008 at Flintofts Issaquah Funeral Home. The family suggests remembrances to Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank where Ann worked as a volunteer. Issaquah Valley Community Services, P.O. Box 652 Issaquah, WA 98027.
